Laboratory Accreditations
Aemtek is a testing laboratory specializing in the microbiological analysis of food, pharmaceutical and environmental samples. Aemtek is accredited by various appropriate private and governmental agencies. Our mission is to provide accurate, fast, and reliable laboratory services for the detection, identification and enumeration of microorganisms in products and the environment. We are committed to excellence in quality, service and technology. We recognize the precision, accuracy, and customer acceptance of our work is fundamental to Aemtek’s business viability. Aemtek has made quality assurance the focal point of our management strategy in all operations.
Aemtek’s quality assurance system is ISO 17025:2005 compliant. Our analytical methods are either standard methods (EPA, AWWA, FDA-BAM, USDA-FSIS, USP, AOAC, and ASTM) or developed and validated in-house based on scientific merit. Aemtek has repeatedly demonstrated competence and integrity throughout all of our interactions with the regulatory agencies and our customers.
FOOD TESTING: Aemtek follows FDA Bacteriological Analytical Manual (BAM), AOAC OMA or AOAC-RI validated testing methods for food testing. Aemtek has been submitting private laboratory data packages to FDA for import entry compliance and has a track record of those reports being accepted by the FDA. The food laboratory director has been involved with submitting laboratory data to the FDA for imports (DWPE) and other issues (including working with science staff at CFSAN and CVM) for over 20 years. Aemtek is currently pursuing accreditation by A2LA (an ILAC MOU signatory) for food testing.
EMLAP Accreditation: American Industrial Hygiene Association Laboratory Accreditation Program (AIHA-LAP)
Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (Lab No. 167620). The scope of accreditation includes fungi and bacteria testing. AIHA-LAP LLC is an associate member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

ELAP Accreditation: California Department of Public Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program granted Aemtek, Inc. EMPAT: Aemtek is actively participating in the AIHA Environmental Microbiology Proficiency Analytical Testing program for fungal and bacterial identification and fungal spore direct examination.
ELPAT: Aemtek is actively participating in the AIHA Environmental Lead Proficiency Analytical Testing program.
AOAC INTERNATIONAL: Proficiency Testing Program, Standard Microbiology Programs (MO1). The Standard Microbiology Program was developed for laboratories that compete in the area of food safety. This program helps laboratories prove
proficiency in detection of pathogens (including Salmonella, E. coli O157:H7, and Listeria), as well as quantifying coliforms, E. coli, Coagulase Positive Staphylococcus, yeast and mold, and aerobic organisms. The program offers eight test samples-four qualitative and four quantitative.
