Distribution:
World-wide distribution and occurs as a secondary invader on many different plants.
Substrate:
Isolated from air, soil, food products, seeds, paint, textiles etc. and occasionally from man and animals (From Samson, 2000).
Indoor Occurance:
Common in indoor environments, often found on wet surface due to water condensation. Wet building materials like gypsum boards and insulation are common sites of isolation. Food products like bread and meat have also been the source of isolates of this

Allergenic
Notes On Identification:
Not distinctive on spore trap samples. Can be identified on surface sample if sporulating structure present.
